We have had Bull Terriers now since around 1987. We live in Manchester, England.Our first was a stray we called Tyson, a Brindle Dog. Unfortunately Tyson's owner turned up after 3 months and he went home but by this time we were smitten. We then went in search of our own puppy, and went to visit Ron & Jackie Gates in Warrington. Whilst looking at a litter we were introduced to 'mum'and were told she was being sold as she was no longer suitable for breeding. After much whispering by the car we went home that same day with her, 'Sue'who lived with us to the ripe old age of 13, always faithful. After having Sue for 12 months we were presented with a pup of nine months who's owner had been letting her fight with a much older Staff. Though we only lived in a flat at the time she was in such a state we had to keep her. Tess lived with us to be 14. During the time we had our Bullies we had two children and never had a problem.

The whole family was devastated when Tess died and we said at the time no more dogs! That did not work for long and within weeks were in search of puppies again. We had had ours for so long we did not know where to start. We made a few phone calls and met up with Steve Lowe at a show in Warrington. We were invited to see their dogs and in October 2001 Holly was born. Jo and Steve were so good to us and so much help we decided in the end that we would like another dog. We had warned the children that having a bitch already meant that if the litter did not include any Dogs they would have to wait. October 2002 the litter arrived and only 1 Dog, we saw him and that was it Milo is now with us. Though we bought the dogs as pets and that is what they are first and formost we decided we would try to show them. We have just started to do so and all the family enjoy it and coming home with a prize is a bonus.
